The Body of Christopher Creed was an exciting and interesting book. I could not put this one down. It was full of suspense and drama because it is about the disappearance of a local boy who wasn’t accepted by his peers. The Body of Christopher Creed had a large amount of suspense. In the book, an outcast disappears, and everyone wants to know where he is. He wrote a letter to the principal, but people aren’t sure if he ran away, killed himself, or was murdered. A few courageous students try to uncover this mystery, and it ends up ruining some lives. One example of the suspense is when Torey, the main character who is trying to find Chris, falls into an Indian burial ground tomb, and finds an American body. I won’t say who’s body it is, but it’s a big surprise, or at least it was to me. I liked The Body of Christopher Creed because it was hard to put down. So hard, in fact, that I had to do my homework in the morning because I spent the night reading it. The intense suspense and all of the drama kept me hooked. I recommend reading this book for all 8th graders looking for a book that is unpredictable right up to the end.
