Catching Fire, the bestselling sequel to The Hunger Games, is full of tension. After Katniss Everdeen, the main character, is threatened by the president she has no idea what to do. When she is sent back to the Hunger Games , there are many questions to ask. Is the mysterious District 13 real? Was the repeat this all planned by President Snow? After plans of a rebellion are proven impossible since Katniss's antagonist is the government Katniss and her friend Peeta are forced to go back to the games. To find out more read the book.

The Hunger Games is an exciting and fast-paced with lots of action book by Suzanne Collins. The protagonist being a sixteen-year-old girl named Katniss. She lives in a country comprised of twelve districts and a capital. The capital forces each district to give up a girl and a boy, called tributes, for what is called the Hunger Games. The Hunger games pit each tribute against each of his or her fellow competitors. When Katniss’s sister is chosen she volunteers to be a tribute. If you like action this is the book for you.

Henry Fletcher Review ~ The Body of Christopher Creed

The Body of Christopher Creed was an exciting and interesting book. I could not put this one down. It was full of suspense and drama because it is about the disappearance of a local boy who wasn’t accepted by his peers.
The Body of Christopher Creed had a large amount of suspense. In the book, an outcast disappears, and everyone wants to know where he is. He wrote a letter to the principal, but people aren’t sure if he ran away, killed himself, or was murdered. A few courageous students try to uncover this mystery, and it ends up ruining some lives. One example of the suspense is when Torey, the main character who is trying to find Chris, falls into an Indian burial ground tomb, and finds an American body. I won’t say who’s body it is, but it’s a big surprise, or at least it was to me. I liked The Body of Christopher Creed because it was hard to put down. So hard, in fact, that I had to do my homework in the morning because I spent the night reading it. The intense suspense and all of the drama kept me hooked. I recommend reading this book for all 8th graders looking for a book that is unpredictable right up to the end.
